3 Tips to Get Started On the Right Foot When Creating Video Content for a Blog

More and more blogs nowadays are starting to publish video content of their own – chiefly

because of how useful it is in attracting interest, increasing engagement, and even boosting

conversions.

That being said many bloggers quickly realize that the results they obtain from

their videos is often lackluster at best.

In most case the problem is that bloggers are not video creators by calling, and so they are

unfamiliar with how to go about creating effective videos. Assuming you would like to avoid

those pitfalls and get started on the right foot, these 3 tips will help:

Figure out what kind of videos your audience would find interesting

No two niches are alike, and every demographic is different – so there are no hard

and fast rules for choosing the right topic and type of video. Instead, you should

research your competitors and try to figure out what your audience might want to

watch. After that, it is simply a question of experimenting and seeing how they

respond.

Keep all your videos short and to the point

Generally it is always best to keep your videos short and get straight to the point.

Typically it is recommended that videos should always be less than 2 minutes, and

hovering around 1 minute is best. If you find that your videos are longer than that,

try to make them more concise or failing which break them down into separate and

more focused topics.

Start by creating simple videos that aren’t overambitious

Many people often get ahead of themselves and immediately shoot for the stars and

try to create videos that are flashy and chock full of special effects. While some flair

and effects can be good, it isn’t particularly necessary and often simple videos will

perform just as well and are far easier to produce – especially when you first start

out.

One easy way to create video content is by recording videos directly from your screen using a screen recorder such as Movavi Screen Capture Studio.

It is easy to set up, and you can fully control the recording parameters by defining the capture area, setting the frame rate, choosing the audio source, and even opting to record keyboard and mouse actions.

Additionally, Movavi has a built-in video editor that you can use to tweak and improve your video after it is recorded.

With its features you will have the ability to cut and join video segments, apply special effects and filters, enhance the video quality, insert customizable captions, include background music, and much more.

In a nutshell Movavi Screen Capture Studio is the perfect tool if you want to create video

content involving a recording of your screen. Needless to say this approach can work

particular well for how-to guides and tutorials, demonstrations and various other types of

video content. Add to that the fact that you can edit your video to look professional, and it

should be clear just how useful it is.
