In late 2014, Handshaking was launched by Matt Holmes as the Handshakin Video Series where he interviewed top entrepreneurs, billionaires, and venture capitalists on networking. He wanted to learn how America's 1% all became friends and leveraged relationships proactively to reach success.
Finally, after convincing billionaires & members of congress to sit down with him, Matt asked why they agreed to meet with him -- some just off a cold LinkedIn message. He learned that his strong personal brand was getting him in front of almost anyone he wanted. That was his AHA moment--he started helping other entrepreneurs build their personal brand so they could connect with mentors, investors, and high-net worth clients. After great feedback from his fans, Handshaking offered services to help others connect with 'hard-to-get' investors, big-time CEOs and others by building their personal brand through Handshaking services. Handshaking only worked with clients for a temporary period of time, and no longer has any clients besides good friend Kyle Matthews. After two years, of offering services for clients, Handshaking began launching lead generation websites to help others get more handshakes and network with prospective customers since that is the end result everyone was seeking in the first place. Today, Handshaking sells leads in specific US cities to mostly home service providers, and other businesses in different niches. One of our first sites was based in New Mexico and helped homeowners get quotes for concrete projects. Since then, they have also helped: Customers get auto window tinting quotes in Pueblo, Colorado Homeowners get tinting quotes in Dayton, Ohio and hundreds more real estate, local-niche service providers. Handshakin' also acquired the domain handshaking.com in 2019 for several thousands to reaffirm their commitment to helping others use networking as a primary strategy to success. Shortly after that acquisition, Covid-19 pandemic hit the world and the Founder Matt Holmes has been on countless interviews speaking about the importance of genuine, 'give-first' personal relationships when it comes to growing a business.
