Handshakin Ambassadors, Mentees, Past Guests and more are headed north in a limosine to shake hands with the Boomtown Accelerator and the Fort Collins Startup Week. This is to build a tighter knit entrepreneurial community and introduce Denver's Movers and Shakers to one another and show that entrepreneurship in Colorado is not only booming, but also a blast! Being based in Colorado and only interviewing Colorado's most successful entrepreneurs, this video series is unique because of Colorado's startup culture. Colorado's culture has a "pay it forward" feel and entrepreneurs succeed together because they help one another and are genuinely interested in one other's lives, not just historical career success. After all, where else is would a mid 20s kid be able to shake hands with the state's biggest success stories and invite them on a limousine? Let's have a toast to celebrate entrepreneurship in Colorado. Want updates? Subscribe to the mailing list at www.handshakin.com About the Handshakin Video Series: Handshakin Holmes claims entrepreneurs succeed through immersion in an entrepreneurial community, gathering feedback with industry experts, and building relationships with world-class mentors. After almost a decade living in Denver and over half a decade of launching startups, the Handshakin Video Series was created to interview Colorado's most successful entrepreneurs on how Handshakin played into their success. Headquartered in a city that Forbes calls the second best place to launch your startup, he also hosts a mentorship program and organizes Startup Denver. Colorado might be known as the best place for pot smoking, outdoorsy younger folks; but we pack a hard punch backed with the authority of uncountable successful startups. With news sources like Business Insider predicting that 40% of the American workforce will be freelancers, contractors, and temporary workers by 2020, the average American should learn how to make their own money right now. There are many quality resources, tools, and expert advice out there and we want to organize and share it with aspiring entrepreneurs, enabling them to chase their dreams. ###
